Dr. MaryJo Wagner, The Learning Doctor and a dynamic, experienced teacher. trainer and author, has taught brain-based learning (including
Brain Gym
®)) to teachers, administrators, parents, occupational therapists, and counselors, even rowdy teenagers in Guatemala. She knows brain-based learning works!

Despite being diagnosed with ADD herself (which she takes advantage of with brain-based learning techniques), MaryJo forged ahead through a bachelor's degree in education, two Master's degrees, one Ph.D., a certification and license in Educational Kinesiology (Brain Gym,), a certification and license in "The Resilient Educator: HeartMath® for Teachers," and formal training in the principles of adult learning.

She began her education career teaching kindergarten in Alexandria, Virginia and moved right through the school system, ending up as a college professor teaching doctoral students at Ohio State University.

MaryJo wrote a state-wide curriculum for Oregon schools and edited elementary and high school textbooks for Holt, Rinehart and Winston. Her 90-page Brain Gym workbook is provided to students in her Brain Gym 101 class. She's also written The Dream Job, a workbook for finding the job you love; A Handbook for Oral History; and a brain-based learning e-book for entrepreneurs called Think Like Einstein. Her column, "Stories from the Top," appeared in The Women's Business Chronicle.

She now teaches brain-based learning TeleChats, and also offers Brain Gym and HeartMath workshops. All her classes and workshops are packed with teacher resources and parenting tips you can use now, quickly, easily, and effectively to help kids learn.  MaryJo has a contagious sense of humor and makes learning fun.
